From Tuesday, 31st January to Thursday, 2nd February, the Disaster Risk Management Division assisted the Ministry of Local Government and Community Affairs with the survey scheduled weeks prior, to verify the population size that may be affected in the event of a dam overflow/break emergency, based on a model developed by P.U.C.

The simple questionnaire aimed at verifying the population size and demographics of the Anse Etoile and Glacis Districts, in the projected affected zone down-stream from the dam.

Overall, the survey was a great success, with the majority of the public cooperating with the teams on site for the data collection efforts.
